Now covering all your customers’ masonry tool needs

Sutton Tools has relaunched its range of SDS compatible masonry tools in new colour-coded packaging and consolidated branding, adding powerful additional products. Product Manager Peter Craven explains the benefits to hardware retailers and their customers.

I’ve recently been involved in developing an important new masonry tool catalogue for our customers – that adds some important new items, all 100% available to promise. In fact, we believe that we can now claim Australia’s largest and most comprehensive range available in the masonry tool category – from 5 x 110mm all the way up to 45 x 1500mm. With new packaging and display options, you have the ability to offer your customers a complete solution for their every need – including the ability to create large holes in masonry of up to 45mm.

Introducing new cutting ranges

Designed especially for your trade customers, the SDS Max Reo Extreme is unlike anything previously available in the Australian market. An innovative one-piece carbide head drill with 10 cutting surfaces, it’s ideal for drilling a wide range of masonry including concrete reinforced with steel up to 13mm diameter. An ordinary drill will either stop or go blunt on steel mesh, such as in a driveway, but SDS Max Reo Extreme is up for it! It’s also much faster and longer lasting – which means tradies can drill more holes than with a standard drill-head. It is ideal for powerful high speed drilling.

Improved customer experience

I think one of the main advantages of our refreshed masonry range is that we’ve made it easier for your customers to select the right tool. The range is now planogrammed so it sits alongside other Sutton Tools ranges, and your Account Manager can assist you with the right way to present it.

New labelling also makes the shopping experience easier. Each style of tool is colour coded to help your customers understand what they need and easier to find once they re-purchase. For example, the two-cutter range has yellow labels, the three-cutters grey and the Reo Extreme red. This visual keying will also help your store staff quickly identify the best solutions to recommend for your customers’ needs.

The Sutton Tools SDS compatible ranges are sourced from a leading European manufacturer that innovates for continual improvement of performance. Of course, just as for our entire range of Australian-made and distributed tools, we provide full technical support and local-based trouble-shooting.
